Privacy notes

  • Redaction removes the text under the black box, not just covers it. Check the redacted copy by searching for a removed word before you send it.
  • Files processed on our servers are deleted within 2 hours, and the download screen has a button to delete them immediately. Files are processed automatically, with no human access.
  • Siliph holds no legal or security certifications. For matters under strict confidentiality rules, follow your firm’s policy on online tools.

FAQ

Questions

Does Bates numbering continue across several files?

Merge the files first, then number the merged PDF so the sequence runs without gaps. You can set the prefix, the starting number and the position on the page.

Is the redacted text really gone?

Yes. Redact PDF removes the text and images under each box from the file, so it cannot be copied or searched. Always check the result before sending.

Is an online signature legally binding?

In many countries a simple electronic signature is valid for most contracts, but rules vary by country and document type. Check what applies to your matter.

Which PDF/A version does the converter produce?

PDF/A-2b, with fonts embedded, which is accepted by most archives and e-filing systems that ask for PDF/A.
