PDF to BMP Converter
Render each PDF page as a 24-bit BMP bitmap for embroidery, signage, lab and older Windows software that reads nothing else.
Render every page of a PDF as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP image for software that only reads bitmaps. Siliph is free, needs no account, and processes files on secure servers in Europe and India, or directly in your browser where possible.

PDF to BMP turns every page of a PDF into a 24-bit BMP image rendered at 150 DPI on a white background. A one-page PDF gives a single bitmap and longer files give a ZIP with one BMP per page. It runs in your browser, is free and needs no account.
Step by step
Drag a PDF into the drop zone or click Choose a PDF file. Conversion starts as soon as the file is in, with no settings to pick.
Every page is drawn at 150 DPI on white and saved as a 24-bit bitmap. A progress bar counts the pages as they are rendered.
Click Download. A one-page PDF gives a single BMP with the same name; a longer PDF gives a ZIP with one file per page, numbered page-1, page-2 and so on.
Features
Each page is saved as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP, the most widely supported variant, so even old or specialised software opens it without a plug-in.
Pages are rendered at 150 DPI onto white, so transparent areas do not turn black and small text stays readable on screen and in print.
The PDF is opened and every page is drawn in your browser, so the document never leaves your device while the bitmaps are made.
The PDF is opened in your browser and each page is drawn at 150 dots per inch onto a white canvas, so transparent areas print as white. The pixels are then written as a standard 24-bit BMP with no compression, which every Windows program and most machine software can read. PDFs of up to 40 pages are converted in one go.
BMP is an old, simple format: a header followed by raw colour values for every pixel. That simplicity is why embroidery digitisers, cutting plotters, display controllers and many in-house Windows tools still ask for it. The cost is size. A bitmap of an A4 page at 150 DPI is several megabytes, so expect a long PDF to produce a sizeable ZIP.
If the program you are feeding accepts other formats, smaller files are available. PDF to PNG keeps the same sharpness with lossless compression, PDF to JPG suits photos and lets you set the resolution, and PDF to TIFF is the usual choice for archives and fax systems. For a palette-based image, PDF to GIF is the other legacy option.
This tool converts up to 40 pages at a time. For a longer document, cut it into parts with Split PDF first, or pull out only the pages you need with Extract Pages. To turn bitmaps back into a document, BMP to PDF does the reverse.
Rendering happens in your browser on your own device, and the bitmaps are written straight to your downloads. The tool is free, needs no account and adds no watermark to the images.

Pages are rendered at 150 DPI, so an A4 page becomes roughly 1240 by 1754 pixels and a US Letter page about 1275 by 1650 pixels.
BMP stores every pixel without compression, which is what makes it easy for simple software to read. If your program accepts PNG, PDF to PNG gives the same image in a much smaller file.
Up to 40 pages per PDF. Split a longer file into parts first, or extract the pages you need, then convert each part separately.
Standard 24-bit BMP with no compression and bottom-up rows, the variant that Windows Paint saves and that almost every program reading bitmaps understands.
BMP has no transparency here, so every page is drawn onto a white background first. Areas that are see-through in the PDF come out white in the bitmap.
Choose BMP only when older software, a cutting machine or an embroidery program insists on it. PNG keeps the same sharp, lossless detail in a far smaller file, so PDF to PNG is the better choice for websites, email and most editors.
